Whittier man pleaded no-contest in the murder of his girlfriend

A Whittier man pleaded no-contest to one count of second-degree murder in the death of his live-in girlfriend, the LA County District Attorney's office announced.
Details:
Luis Rey Jimenez-Jimenez, age 46, was sentenced to 16 years in a California state prison for killing his 40-year-old girlfriend and leaving her body in the backseat of his car.
Jimenez-Jimenez also admitted to using a wrench as a deadly weapon and that the victim suffered a significant blunt force trauma to her head, LASD said.
The victim, Nadia Solís, was discovered lying across the backseat of the suspect's car wrapped in plastic.
