A woman allegedly armed with a knife arrested outside the Chase Bank in North LB

A woman allegedly equipped with a knife was arrested near the Chase Bank in North Long Beach Thursday morning, police say.

Details:

The woman, who has not yet been identified by law enforcement, was allegedly confronted by Long Beach police just after 7 a.m in the Chase Bank parking lot located at the 600 block of Artesia Blvd.

• Authorities say they were able to deescalate the situation and safely apprehend the woman after a brief standoff, per the LB Post.

• The LBPD says a mental health evaluation team supported officers and that no injuries were reported.
