Woman Stabbed in Downtown Long Beach

One woman was stabbed Wednesday night in Downtown Long Beach after a supposed altercation, police say.


At roughly 11:10 p.m., LBPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Pacific Avenue due to a call regarding a stabbing.

  • When police arrived, they came across a woman with multiple knife wounds.

  • The injured woman was unable to converse about the events leading up to the stabbing. Still, police were capable of piecing together that the victim and another woman were in an altercation.

  • Investigators believe the suspect and the victim know one another.

  • The Post reported that Long Beach resident Claudine Coleman was apprehended in connection with the stabbing and is currently at the Long Beach City Jail on a $30,000 bail.
